Denise is an active Certified Public Accountant in Virginia since 1999. She has exclusively served local, privately-owned businesses since leaving the firm she was with for 30+ years and started SOVA, CPA in 2021. She is passionate about helping business owners optimize their potential, be proactive and solve problems. Denise has been a Principal and Partner in a local Southside Virginia CPA firm for 30+ years, and has extensive experience with accounting, payrolls, business consulting, personal and business tax returns and special tax items (ERTC, Enterprise Zone Applications and SBA programs). She has served as treasurer for multiple local non-profit organizations and an elected member of the Brunswick County Board of Supervisors. She and her husband Robert are both natives of Brunswick County and currently reside in Mecklenburg County.
Denise enjoys teaching and implementing efficient business processes with locally owned businesses to maximize the human potential that is within every entrepreneur. She also understands that your family is important and all business decisions affect more than one person.
